On September
V-Ciub held its first meeting and elected new officers. T h e y were: President, John Thomas of Raleigh, N. C.; Vice-President, Sam Peirson of Enfield, N. C.; Secretary, Doug Van Noppe:1 of Morganton, N. C.; Treasurer, Jim Winston of Ra!eigh, N. C.; and Sergeant-at-Arms, Len Muse of Fincastle, Va. Work has already started on the redecorating of the V-Ciub room.
On September 26, at a meeting of theoldstudentstheofficersof General Athletic Association and a
Hop-Committee were chosen. The G. A. A. officers are: President, John Thomas; Vice- President, Len Muse; Secretary, Jim Winston; and Treasurer, Doug Van Noppen. The Hop-Committee consists of Frank Carrington of Lynchburg, Shaw Smith of Virginia Beach, and Jim Winston.
O n September 28, the Senior Class met and elected the following of- ficers: President, John Thomas; Vice- President, Len Muse; Secretary, AI Shortt of Winston-Salem, N. C.; Treasurer, Jo Banks of Lynchburg.
At a recent meeting of the J-V- Ciub the following officers were eIected:President,AbeFryeof
Roanoke, Va.; Vice-President, Jim Hunter of Bluefield, W. Va.; Secre- tary-Treasurer, Dusty Lamson of Asheville, N. C.; and Sergeant-at- Arms, Bob Lambeth of Thomasville, N. C. Mr. Robert Lee will be the club's faculty advisor this year. The club room has been fitted very hand- somely, but the J-V-Ciub wishes it known that club members only are permitted into the room.
