1948
Frank Akers has recently been dis-
charged from the Marines.
Matt Akers is still in the Marines
but expects to be out soon. He is at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Dabney C. T. Davis, Jr. has re- entered the University of Florida.
Lt. David White was graduated from V. M. I. last year and is now in the service.
Val Clary, Jr. is stationed at Vance Air Force Base. He is married and has a son seventeen months old.
1949
Robert Lee (Bob) White has re-
turned from Korea where he saw some rough action. We are glad to hear of his safe return.
Our sympathy goes out to Sgt. and Mrs. Vernon Dawson upon the death

Gordon Poindexter has b e e n wounded in Korea and has returned home. We are glad to report that he is recovering nicely.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. James Herrick of Lafayette, Cali- fornia, on the birth of a daughter.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Robert I. Lee, Jr. on the birth of a

The sixteen bouncing beauties are
skeptical about coming out this year after some sharp detective work by Guru last year.
"Wimpy" Chandler, after being dragged to R.-M.W.C., is shocked after he eyeballs the first girl that has moved him in four years.
" Heartless" Don upsets "Blanks' " weekend by putting him on bounds and ruining the "Halifax Queen's" trip to Lynchburg.
"Atlas" Antrim goes broke on taxi for a kiss from his Salem woman.
Even though we miss last year's great lover, Brooks, we have a new and more irresistible one, "Red" Wallace, who gets along well above par with the Lynchburg women. Ask Lucy!
Leggett snatches demerit king's crown from Barrett's head, but we have confidence in the " Bat's" ability.
Johnstone leads pack as phone wires are hot for dates for the home- coming dance.
Thompson is seen moping around the hall over the loss of his boy, " No Good. " who didn't return.
"Squirrel" Fulton finally gets a date with Sue Jet+ after three hard tries. " Dr. Fakennie" Williams seems to be a hustler with R.-M.W.C. homesick

Spear claims if Kemper tries to
wipe him off the ceiling one more time at night, he will have to be erased by Jaeger's mob.
"Wimpy" Chandler and "No" Smith return victorious to school after shaking hands with "Ike" at the sta- tion.

Howard Pitt is playing end for the
Duke football team. He has scored three T. D.'s in two games.
Pfc. John Brock McHullan, Jr. is in the second Marine division at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Jack Stroughton visited school be- fore going to college.
George Heyward and Harold Ben- nett also paid us a visit.
1951
John Thomas, Steve Quillen, Jack
Thomas and Jim Winston all visited the school before going to college.
1952
Sox Sibley, Frank Carrington, John
Heyward, Bill Hudgins and Archie Ruffin were here before going to various colleges.
Fred Schilling stopped by on his way to Sewanee, and Jim Farinholt on his way to Washington and Lee. Jim has become a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity.
Dr. John Branham, former track and football coach, stopped by to see u~ recently. He is now a physician in Miami. He was on his way to Re- heboth Beach, Del. to see his mother.
Bishop Gordon's Visit

has to be a good pilot.
Everyone present was visibly im- pressed with Bishop Gordon's talk and bearing, showing to us that bishops are as human and understanding of boys as are boys themselves. Bishop Gordon is the type of man that causes the motto "The Full Stature of Man- hood" to become a living reality.
1946
Lt. Richard E. Grundy is stationed
at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He has been on duty in the Pacific for sometime.
Davis Rainhard is studying agricul- tural economics in Costa Rica.
1947
Lt. Perrin W. Gower has been grad-
uated from Bryan Air Force Base and is to be married to Miss Mary Howell
of Hamlet, North Carolina.
Michael Akers is this fall.
