THE MILKY WAY GIVEN BY YIREPSCHO PLAYERS
The VirEpScho Players recently pre- sented "The Milky Way," a play writ- ten by Lynn Root and Harry Clark. This was the second play which the Vi rEpScho Players have presented at the Lynchburg Little Theatre since in- terest in drama was revived last year.
The play was under the capable direction of Mr. Lin Lunsford and Mrs. G e o r g e L. Barton, Ill. Much credit should be given to Mr. Luns- ford and Mrs. Barton for their unsel- fish work in planning and directing the play.
The cast was headed by Pat Mc- Nulty as Speed McFarland, John Dar- den as Burleigh Sullivan, Bob Gibson as Spider, and Mart Hulswit as Gabby Sloan. Miss Meg Howard and Miss Cookie Gorman headed the fe- male leads.
Ellison Loth as Eddie, Jim Bickford as Willard, and Charles Hotchkiss as Wilbur Austin ployed fine supporting roles.
Additional credit should be given to Fred Freyer, George Hettrick, Ed Roberts, J o e Fox, Sam Shouse, and John Scott for their work in set con- struction. The stage manager was Tom Andrews. The costumes were designed by Mrs. Barton and the stage properties were handled by Tom Andrews, Art Delagrange, and Mrs. Barton.
This continued interest in dramatics has been well received by the pub- lic and by the school. It is hoped that this interest will continue for many years.

ORDINATION
(Continued from page I)
Bishop Marmion then celebrated Holy Communion, assisted by Dr. Magill, Mr. Loop, and Mr. Jeffery.
The service concluded with the Bishop's benediction and the singing of "Day by Day" by the choir and congregation. The recessional hymn was "Praise to the Lord."
Dr. Paul Walker of St. John's served as master of ceremonies for the ordination.
Immediately following the service, the women of St. John's gave a re- ception in the parish hall for those present at the ordination.
Mr. Barton has been chaplain at Virginia Episcopal School since Feb- ruary, 1955, when he resigned his commission in the United States Army to devote himself fully to the minis- try. Up until his ordination to the priesthood, he has served for a num- ber of years as a deacon.

counselor this year, and he's doing a good job down there in the base- ment with the horses.
Next fall he'll enter the University of Virginia, leaving his contributions here behind him only to go on to more achievements.
John Guerard Scott
But there's going to be a dent in the school when Scott pulls out for Carolina next year and we'll all hate to see him go.

This should be a good learning year for the number one battery and on their good days, backed up by the
good looking infield, the team should have some good days on defense. The weather has not allowed enough batting practice to determine much
about the hitting. With not more than one lefthanded batter in the lineup they will probably be weak against right-handed curve ball pitching . It should be very interesting to see
what will
develop .
