BISHOPS TROUNCE BOONSBORO 51-41
Boonsboro, looking for revenge after their over-time loss to the Bishops early in the season, just didn t have enough guns as V. E. S. breezed to a 51-41win.
V. E. S. had a 21-15 lead at the half due largely to the clutch shoot- ing of Frank Craighill and Jim Shank- lin. Scoring eight straight points in
the third period to move in front 29-15, the Bishops then held on to
their lead
Boonsboro hit a 21-29 of their free throws to almost offset the poor field goal percentage. Frank Craighill was high for V. E. S. with 19 and George Ross had I0.

BISHOPS OVERCOME
BY A.M. A. 57-51
V.E.S. fought right down to the wire before losing a heart-breaker to Augusta Military Academy on their home court.
The first half was nip and tuck with V.E.S. ahead 29-27 at the intermis- sion. But, as it has been most of the season, the Bishops couldn't get started in the third quarter and fell behind 46-39. Davis, the big A.M.A. center, led the assault with 8. In the last quarter, Coach Rock Lee ordered his boys into a full-court press. The stunned A.M.A. group's lead was cut from 13 to 4 points before they re- gained their poise and won 57-51. High scorers for the Bishops were Jim Dillon with 16 and Frank Craig- hill with 12.
