1958 Winner of FIRST PLACE award for schools of less than 200 Students, in SIPA
competition.
Perhaps the mid-terms scared a few, or perhaps they got tired of sitting in study hall. Whatever the reason, their efforts are to be commended.
In the excitement of it all, it might be easy to overlook two points which should be emphasized.
To those who have study-out privileges, the challenge is obvious: Keep it! Don't run up and down the hulls participating in extra- curricular bull sessions. Every privilege has its responsibility, and yours is to study, despite the fact that you are no longer threatened by counselors, masters, and stick pads. Now you must make your-
selves study, and when you do that, the study-out privilege is a much more meaningful accomplishment.
The challenge to those who are still in study hall is equally as obvious: Get out! Many of the names on the new list indicate that almost anyone who really tries can do it, and each of you is chal- lenged to match their efforts. You will be amazed at the amount of work you can accomplish in the comfort and privacy of your own room .
The Basketball Team
A review of the recently completed basketball season reveals
that Coach Jim Farmer's charges acquitted themselves well, and the '58-'59 Basketball Bishops will be known as one of the schools better teams.
