cause he's such a good dancer). Chippy Langhorn is evidently re- lated to the "Great Bolo." Only un- like his idy•ll, he lost the St. Valen- tine's weekend match. Screwy thinks he is a direct descendent of one of the " Legend of Sleepy Hollow" characters, and it isn't lchabod Crane. Winston had to read Mother Goose to his date. He rather en- joyed it (she didn't).

Well kiddies and cats, after the big long weekend, I am ready to pass on o few tidbits that I observed from my cloud floating above the old 160.
In Wentz's home away· from home at V.E.S. in the phone booth, I over- heard, " Hello, Sherry this is Da le Carter, have you ever heard of me?" CLICK. Dale came out very sur- prised. He and Mr. Titus are in the same boat. The "Mr. Daddy Cool" of the V.E.S. faculty was dropped by his cu rrent heart-throb. His com- ment, (Get this) "This doesn't happen very often". Mr. Wyatt had a ball game and he proved to be quite a pitcher with o screw ball like Lou Burdette's. He fanned 16 out of 22. The boys just didn't "play ball."
During the Valentine Dance week- end, J ohn "Fireball" Crudup was expelled from the ranks of the south- ern gentlemen after a Germans vs. Bishops episode. The ape was heard screaming ten miles outside of Lynch- burg, "Please let me call Mr. Walke." The Green Wave from Narrows, Pete Mansfield, thinks he's a Fred Astaire. One girl was so impressed that she left him to do a solo in the middle of the floor (although it's not be-

Simpson: His favorite adjective : "Chubby."
Cruelty Joke: Exams.
Boone: Picks on t h e goons.
Page: Here to stay?
Carter: New guitar. New voice?
P.S. This is a paid announcement. THE BASKETBALL TEAM - {Continued from poge 4)
At mid-season, the Bishops had a 3-6 record, and things looked black. But they turned the tables, won five of their last six games, and finished the season with a 8-7, .533 season. Congratulations, team! C o ngratulations, Coach!

with his Houdini touch. Before their eyes he would vanish. How? By merely turning sideways.
Another famous personality-Paul Anderson Pratt (or so he thinks). All he needs now is to take a Charles Atlas course at the Lynchburg branch whose instructor is El Hard Hono Day.
Kinsey may have to write a new book. According to White Rose, those Rastus jokes really snow the girls. H. Rawls has a new ambition in life, used to be he was going to be an engineer, but for some strange reason he is going to be a social worker. A Gu-Ru equation might run like this-Love + Brandie +

NEW BOOKS PURCHASED FOR LIBRARY
In recent weeks the library has re- ceived approximately eighty paper- back volumes and thirty-five books o n math and science. These books were purchased to build up the li- brary's facilities in these fields, and
to provide source materials for boys who have extra-curricular interests in these subjects.
The recommendation for the pur- chase of the science and math books was received through the National Association for the Advancement of Science, and the list includes many of the basic reference books recom- mended by the association. The de- partments involved have already be- gun making parallel assignments
