JAMES DA VIS MORRIS GREENSBORO, N. C.
Jim's jovial manner and sedate sense of humor quickly captured the fancy of the campus. He was nick-named Bass, a name that caught on as fast here as it did at Texas Tavern. He will long be remembered as a lasting sign of congeniality at VES.
Jim has made a name for himself in athletics, excelling in football. He has played both years on the Varsity defensive squad where he was labeled, "the biggest player in the prep league." On the golf scene, he has shown himself ver- satile by aiding Mr. Wright's six. This year Jim put in his first year as manager for the basketball team where it has been said that he tried to play the role of player-coach- manager.
Academically, Jim has done well. He hopes to continue his study at Davidson or at Carolina.
