New Economics Course
Provides Study Of The
Stock Market
Believing that a reservoir of serviceable
knowledge exists in the study of economics,
Mr. Donald McGill initiated a course stressing the practical application of economics rather than its theoretical implications. The Wall Street Journal provided the class of twenty-one students
with information for evaluating
current trends in the economy
and for "playing games"
with the stockmarket.
In this way, they could learn more
about economic operations applying to both
the consumer and the nation.
