weekend of November. The rain seemed to hault for those many hours before the concert. Money for trips to the W est Coast was made by grateful dead followers
with their tie die shirts, hand mad'e jewelry, and begging every two feet. Desperate hands were holding signs reading, "Need a ticket." Men having hair
Jnger than their girlfriends made second homes near the col· iseum fountain just waiting for
the big moment. Then there were those who were not loyal but were there for the ride even
if it was only for a moment. An observer might have called this congregation of people "a 1970's crew revisted." It was. Though
