THE :METEOR 65 The night of the ninth, Bishop J ett paid us another flying
visit.
February 10th, another snappy dance was given. There were plenty of girls from Lynchbmg and a great deal of local color, also good local music.
The follo-..ing boys, having averaged 907o, or over, for the last term, :1re on the honor roll of the school: Belt, H. ; Cabell, Cooke, Eppes, Forsyth, H.; Houghton, Rogers, lf.; Taliaferro and Tompkins.
The following boys, who ha'e a,-eraged s5r, or over, are entitled to honorable mention : Bryson, Coleman, 111. ; Crane, Joe; Logan, l l arshall, l\Iorfit, lfoyler, McBlain, Nichols, Pechin, Rogers, F. ; Stop]cs, Strudwick, Tatum and Winfree.
We were very glad to have Mr. Banks' parents for our guests for several days in early February.
Among other visitors haTe been :Mrs. Bishop and ::llrs. Dillon, although we are sorry that their being here was caused by the sickness of their sons.
Dr. Pendleton's sister, ::llr.;. Frank Chaffin, of Wythe•ille, with her son A. N. Chaffin and Mr. ··Tobe" l\Ioore were here on the week-end of the F ebruary lOth, to celebrate the Rec- tor's birthday.
Cabell: Carter, R.; Carter, S.; Duke, and Heath ha•e been elected to membership in the Dramatic Society. W. R. Duke l1as heen elected stage manager of the Dramatic Soci- ety, in place of Humphries, who has resigned because of J1ressm·o of baseball duties. CaTter, S., bas been appointed assistant stage manager.
