see the smoke clearing, and four des- perate pleas. " But Dr. Barton I don't know how the firecracker happened to go off."
Shifting his gaze elsewhere he catches sight of something that makes his eyes stand out on a limb. Why, what is Superman doing on the "ole" 140 acres? 0, it's just Fitz- gerald toking his nightly jump from 2nd west.
Peering due east the old boy spys "Mad Lover Smith" hiking off to R.-M. W. C. The lucky girl is none other than Peebles Porterhouse.
Leveling his gaze towards Johnson Field the old astrologer spies what seems to be o mud battle. But a closer view shows it's just little " Pug- gy Noppen" and his red hot mud slingers, slushing their way to victory
over St. Paul 's, who declared, " I'm going back home, the South's too much for me."
Turning the old telescope due west, the old astrologer catches a glimpse of what seems to be Mr. Magnuson's Spanish II class, and above the chat- ter is heard none other than John

The Old Astrologer
As the old astrologer takes down his telescope and lazily points it sky- ward he utters o wistful sigh as he re- members his post weekend, which was spent on Jupiter where they held for the tenth consecutive yeor, the Miss Moon contest. But he suddenly re- members there's work to be done and towards earth points the old tele- scope.
The first thing to meet the old astrologer's eyes is the familiar foot- ball field, where con be heard the crack of the whip, ond the calling of the slave driver "get down"! But what's this? Is it o mouse, an ant? No, it's just Joe Lowson coming out of the huddle.
Suddenly his eyes are taken else· where as he hears what seems to be an atomic bomb explosion on 3rd main. Quickly adjusting his telescope the old astrologer is just in time to
help it.
