BISHOPS EDGE NEW LONDON FIVE 65-62
Although behind at the half 33-28, V.E.S. fought bock and finally won the contest against New London 65-62 due largely to the efforts of Skit Davidson and Frank Croighill.
Skeeter West, the New London ace forward, led the assault that saw the Bishops behind at the intermis- sion. The third quarter saw the Bis- hops gain some but not enough to overtake the fast-tiring New London squad. But in the last quarter, the Bishops grabbed the lead and held it down to the wire. Frank Craighill was high man with 20 and Skit David- son had 17.

HEIGHT TELLS, AS FORK UNION DOWNS BISHOPS
V. E. S., playing on even terms the first half, finally fell to the "giants" from Fork Union 73-52 on the Bishop's home court.
In the first period the Bishop de- fense and baskets by George Ross and Frank Craighill held the score to 10-11, F. U. M.A.'s favor. V. E. S. couldn't seem to find the range in the second period and Jim Dyer and Bev Vaughan made it look easy by popping in offensive rebounds to lead 30-24 a t intermission.
The third period saw Jim Dillon, Bishop guard, on a one-man crusade to undertake Fork Union by scoring
