     2 2: Routine, Routine, Routine
I think majority of us can say that we do not have the greatest sleep schedule when it comes to jug-
gling school, sports, etc. Especially with the past two years having to adjust with remote learning over
zoom, all you had to do was roll out of bed and open your computer. Adjusting back to having a day’s
full of school and extracurriculars can be tiring, but putting together a schedule can help you stay a
lot more organized when it comes to time management. Some ways we can start to create a routine is
to establish times for certain things. This can include having an appropriate and specific time set out
for the day when we do our homework and go to bed. Although it takes 21 days to crate a habit, if we
create a routine and stick to it early, it can limit a lot of unwanted stress!

You’ve probably heard the phrase “commnication is key”. Even though it is obvious, it is so important
to communicate with everyone, as the school year is a prominent time to exhange thoughts. In order to
communicate more effectivley, we need to actively listen and
understand that it is okay to struggle at times. Many people disregard the fact that they are struggling
and need help, but talking to a teacher about a concept for example that is difficult to understand in a
class can do nothing but benefit you. Even as the school year goes on, there is a large increase of
deppression, anxiety, etc. It is so important to communicate your feelings and thoughts to someone you
trust, such as a friend, adult, or counseler.

Something that I have started to notice more and more is that great things almost always start
small. When I look back at all my personal achievements, I find a pattern that some of the most
important achievements I have made started as small goals. Starting small goals, espceically
looking forward for the rest of this semester can be helpful in ways for you to get stronger and
try more challenging things. Some ways we can start small goals is by keeping a daily joun-
ral. Writing down things can help you see them in a visual way and is proven to be more likely
achieved by 42%. Another way in the school environment where we can work on building up suc-
cess in the semester is by breaking big tasks into smaller ones.
