Our first location for taking pictures around St. Louis is the chess mu-
seum. The Chess Museum is located at 4652 Maryland Ave, Saint Louis,
MO. The Chess Museum hosts different events every week and is home to
life sized chess pieces and a chess board. These make for a great photo
opportunity, and also be sure to check out the world’s largest chess piece
located at the museum.
The Malcom W. Martin Memorial Park is located near East
Saint Louis. It is known for the large tower of stairs inside the
park that has a perfect lookout spot of the Saint Louis sky-
line. While visiting the Park, take time to snap photos of you
and your friends or just a landscape photo of this skyline,
as it is one of the best cityscape views in all of Saint Louis.
There is also a statue of Malcom W. Martin sitting and look-
ing out to the city located in the park.
Another fun photo opportunity is at the Cat Café in Maplewood.
Mauhaus Cat Café is well known for their interesting dine in set-
ting. While you not only go there to grab a coffee or pastry, you
can also enjoy sitting down and meeting some friendly cats of all
ages and breeds. The indoor décor consists of tables close to the
ground and cushions to sit on so you can enjoy and play with the
cats walking around the café. This spot makes for an interesting
and very cute photo opportunity!
The Jewel Box in Forest Park makes for a perfect stop when
spending your day walking around the park. There is a beautiful
outside garden wrapped around the building that makes for a
gorgeous photo background, and could be considered for senior
pictures or celebratory photos for an engagement or wedding.
The building itself is made of iron and glass and stands out
amongst the other attractions in Forest Park. The inside of the
building continues to make for stunning photos as it contains a
variety of indoor plants.
