b'TEEFLower School teachers Christine Brennan and Gwen Lowe attended a Learning and The Brain Conference which was an interactive institute that explored current brain research through five essential topics: working memory, attention, emotion, motivation, and long-term memory. This institute focused on topics such as recognizing the crucial role of working memory in all classroom learning, using current research on attention to enhance student focus and boost classroom energy along with enriching classroom practice by converting stresses to challenges and fostering a positive emotional climate.Brittany Lutzweiler, Lower School Counselor participated in training to receive her Kristen Tuma, Interimcertification in Play Therapy at UNC Charlotte. Mrs. Lutzweiler Assistant Upper Schoollearned from some of the greatest Director traveled to Irelandplay therapists in the country to meet with the Dean of theincluding Dr. Phyllis Post and School of Education, the ActingDr. Garry Landreth. Dr. Landreth Director of the Sports Studiesis affectionately coined as the Program and the Director offather of Child Centered Play Field Hockey Operations atTherapy and often mistaken for University College Cork.
