Cor Jesu turned 60 this past September, and the school has never looked

better!
Introduced to St. Louis academia on September 6, 1956, with just 17
freshmen “pioneers” crossing the threshold of what is now Sacred Heart

Villa on The Hill, Cor Jesu Academy has grown 35-fold to 601 students
today. For the past six decades, Cor Jesu has blazed a trail of
premier Catholic education for young women, cultivating
the 5,500 past and current students to transform the
world – for good. And what better way to celebrate

our students’ and alumnae’s mark on the St. Louis
community and across the globe than with a
strong and continued commitment to faith,

tradition and academic innovation!

Breaking Ground
This past spring, thanks to the generosity of nearly 2,000 members
of the CJ community, Cor Jesu raised the One Heart ~ One Spirit ~
One Vision Capital Campaign funds needed to begin construction of
one of the school’s most ambitious endeavors in its 60-year history –
