6) Top-tier teachers create top-tier leaders.

It’s no secret that Cor Jesu girls go out into the world prepared to change it.
However, we would not be there without the help of our teachers. I’ve come
to find that teachers at CJ truly love what they do, which has in return had a
rather direct impact on me. I truly believe that I will be able to do amazing
things, but I will always owe it to the teachers that have given me my educa-
               tion.
                                           7) Failing=B

Look, I totally get that we all have our strongsuits and we will natu-
rally do better in certain classes than others. And hey, C’s really can
get degrees. However, the work ethic that I was able to develop at CJ
has led me to believe that it’s an A or the highway. The competitive
atmosphere can certainly have its ups and downs, however, it has
allowed me to push myself further than I could have ever imagined.

8)My uniform is my best friend.

When I talk to college-aged alumnae, I often hear that it is beyond
inconvenient to actually have to pick out in the morning. Granted, de-
ciding between a red and navy polo can be a difficult task at 7 A.M.,
nevertheless we have it pretty easy. The convenience factor of the
dear polo and kilt is overlooked, and most do not appreciate it until
              they look back.

                                             9) Boys are like unicorns.

By no means am I saying that boys themselves are magical, but when
you are surrounded by women for eight hours straight five days a week,
the sighting of one can seem close to magical: especially when they
come on campus. Similarly to a unicorn, no one believes that he is there
until they see him for themselves, yet when you go searching for him, he
                                                  seems to disappear.

         10) Regardless of the drama that can occur, I will be a part of a

                  sisterhood for life.

It’s a given that there is going to be some drama when you throw some girls in a
building together. And yes, it can quite frankly suck. However, the lifelong rela-
tionships I have formed with my classmates is something that I will forever cherish.
These girls have impacted me in ways that would not have been possible without
Cor Jesu. No matter what life may bring, I will always have a home at 10230 Gravois
