It was a wonderful Festival on October 11 wasand Houston Satterfield wasweekend and a great way for our a great success! Held on thea great day of communityfamilies to work together and give fields behind the Lower School,building and service. Moreback to Greensboro at the same families came together to trythan 200 volunteers packedtime.their luck on games like ring100 bags for the homeless toss, plinko, cake walk andfilled with food, blankets and more. Event volunteers includedtoiletries and then delivered parents and Upper Schoolthem while serving dinner students and was a perfect wayto them in a downtown to celebrate fall and have somepark. Others made cards for good old fashioned fun! Crayons Matter, made burritos for Burrito Bikers, cleared the garden at the Lower School, prepared and served lunch at Greensboro Urban Ministry, helped the SCPA Much work went into planning Studio 50, our big 50th Anniversary celebration, which was to be held on May 2. Led by Laura Gasiorek 82 and many wonderful volunteers, this event was well planned and sure to be a smashing success. We look forward to celebrating this milestone in the spring of 2021, and want to thank Laura and her committees for incredible work, planning and creativity.The Bengal Dash was also set on our anniversary weekend. The time, energy and innovative ideas that came from the Co-chairs, Ashley Anderson and Danielle Gioffre were amazing. In order to keep the Bengal spirit going during our remote learning, they also helped planned the Virtual Bengal Dash, which supported hunger relief for Greensboro families.
