b'The new distance learning/working experience has succeeded due to the hard work on the front end by the wonderful leadership of Tracie and her amazing team. The forethought and insight of what was coming was envisioned and applied into practice. It took some time for it to feel normal and to keep moving forward; by setting up a new workspace, learning how to ZOOM, etc., but I have learned how to be isolated but remain included and continue to provide my services while working offsite. - GDS StaffI learned that our community is stronger, more creative, and more resilient than I ever imagined. Students, parents, faculty, and staff dug deep, collaborated, questioned, and summoned the courage to try things they never thought possible. Little known talents emerged, vulnerability became strength, and we stretched our arms far and wide to learn from other schools and thought leaders across the globe and embrace our community with letters of hope, connection, and encouragement. Bengal Nation rose to the challenge! - GDS StaffMy favorite part of distance learning was when students would pop in during open zoom sessions offered on Fridays.Sometimes they would ask for help with an assignment, sometimes they would just pop in to say hello, and sometimes they would pop in and hang out with me to ask me trivia questions or tell me a joke.It was a fabulous way to end the week and filled my heart with student love when it was nearing empty! - GDS TeacherGDS Magazine | 7'
