b'Jeremy Shearer, 8th grade history teacher and Jenna Gilfillan, 6th grade global studies teacher traveled to the SUMMER CAMP Blackfeet Indian Reservation to observe and participate in the Global Volunteer Program in Montana. FOR FACULTY TEEF: Established in 1982, the Teacher Enrichment Endowment Fund supports teacher grants primarily for summer travel and study opportunities. As the oldest Parents Association (PA) endowment, it is given priority to receive an allocation from any net proceeds raised by the PA in the previous year.TEEF grants arent just the continuing education credits of the past. Read on!Peter Buxenbaum, 4th Grade teacher visited the National Museum of World War II Aviation in Colorado Springs. He spent time learning from retired Air Force Colonel Gene Pfeffer and other museum docents about the P-47 Thunderbolts, P-51 Mustangs, and other planes on display at the museum. In 4th grade, students participate in a unit on aviation. Mr. B incorporated new information that he gained about the efficiency of the different planes, wing design, and other facts into the curriculum.Tim Martin, 8th grade earth science teacher traveledNinoshka Boylston, a TEEF to explore Hawaiis active volcanoes last July.grant recipient is one of 40 educators chosen from around the world to take part in an exclusive summer institute. She attended Connecting Collections sponsored by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney, and the Guggenheim where she learned the techniques for analyzing and interpreting modern and contemporary art.
