Greensboro Day School students make a difference every day. From participating in service learning opportunities at GDS to taking their skills out into the larger community, our students look for ways to make meaningful contributions. From working as part of a team or group, to working on their own, our students look for ways to put others first. As our mission states, our students are developing the intellectual, ethical, and interpersonal skills needed to be constructive contributors to the world! These strands of beads help children tell the story of their illness, while publicly acknowledging their courage and bravery.   During 2 years of treatment a child will average 500 beads.
