Jon Schner recognized by the NCISAA During the July Summer meeting of the NCISAA (North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association), Jon Schner was elected and voted in to serve on the NCISAA Board of Advisors.  Jon will represent the Athletic Trainers and First Responders state wide and serve as the lead for the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee.  In addition, Jon will also take on the role of Independent Secondary School Advisor for the Board of the NCATA (North Carolina Athletic Trainers Association).  He will join the Board and act as a liaison representing high school Athletic Trainers state wide. Jon will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to both the NCISAA and the NCATA, and will surely help to improve the health and safety of student athletes state wide. At the NCISAA Athletic Director’s and Sports Medicine Meeting in Charlotte July 23-24, 2018, Jon was recognized for his new role.  He was also acknowledged for his more than 27 years as the Head of Sports Medicine at Greensboro Day School.  Jon currently is the longest tenured Athletic Trainer in the NCISAA and possibly the state.
