Madison Lewis ’10 Patrick Wrenn and Jennifer Wernimont were married on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Historic Whaleclub in Corolla Beach, NC.  The wedding party included GDS alumni Graham Wrenn ’12 and Steven Love ’10. They had their mini-moon in Charlottesville, VA and plan to take a full honeymoon in Italy next year.  They currently reside in Madison, WI. Patrick Wrenn ’10 with wife, Jennifer n 2011 Jabari Bradford and 2 business partners have founded Pristine Wraps Co., a corporate advertising and marketing company that specializes in the application of vinyl. Though their services stem from vehicular uses such as color changes, partial wraps, window tinting and paint protection, their business extends into an array of lines of business including structural commercial and residential window tinting, corporate digital signage, and branding services. Grace Ruffin ’18 and Mahlon Brady ’18 in South Africa n 2018 Grace Ruffin and Mahlon Brady traveled to South Africa for two weeks. During this trip they worked with adolescents in the underserved Joe Slovo Township, outside of Port Elizabeth through the Art Works for Youth program. In addition to bringing 160 pounds of donations (including school supplies, socks, and underwear) and $500 in monetary donations, Grace and Mahlon worked with younger children teaching them English and art. The greater upper school community also has strong ties to Joe Slovo through the Service Without Borders Club, that sent $650, raised through bake sales at basketball games to Joe Slovo last school year. n 2014 Janse Schermerhorn was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy. He took the oath of office and was commissioned by his father, CDR Thomas Janse Schermerhorn, M.D., USN, Ret. Janse completed Officer Development School at the Naval Training Command in Newport, Rhode Island. At graduation Janse was honored with the award for Highest Academics, Physical Training and Military Bearing. He was presented with the award by Admiral Kibben and Captain Nicholson.
