Robotics and Coding Offered for Students in Grades 4-6 Students in grades 4-6 have been actively participating in a new after-school Lego Mindstorm EV 3 Brick Robotics and Coding program. Led by Mrs. Nancy Glassman, this after-school class offers critical thinking, collaboration, teamwork, and hands-on learning. Students work in teams, construct their robots, learn basic to advanced coding, and at the end of the sessions, navigate their robots through an obstacle course. For the first time, Middle School students were invited to participate in a Student Diversity Leadership Council, Jr. (SDLC, Jr.). Members of the SDLC, Jr. will work to develop skills for making communities more inclusive, engage in rich dialogue, and work with the Upper School SDLC to enhance equity and inclusion school wide.  Members of SDLC, Jr. will have opportunities for self-reflection and learn strategies for being allies and encourage others to be allies. This council will be responsible for enhancing and promoting equity and inclusion at Greensboro Day School through program development and facilitation in the Middle School. 7thGrade Science Internships Under the direction of Mrs. Clarissa Marshall, 7th grade students are participating in science internships this school year.
