Working one-on-one with locals taking blood pressure, glucose, height, etc. was an unforgettable experience because not only did it allow me to help others, but it also taught me a lot of things about public health.”  – Carlie Snyder ’18 2 3 1 “Traveling to Guatemala this summer was a pivotal experience for me. Not only did I increase my cultural awareness and Spanish skills, but I also learned a lot about medicine and public health, which opened my eyes to a possible career opportunity. It was truly a unique experience that I will never forget, and I am so thankful for the many memories I made.” –Will Hayes ’19 GUATEMALA TRAVEL TEAM GLUCOSE TESTING CLINIC GUATEMALA HEALTH FAIR 28 | Winter 2017
