First graders deepened their learning of reptiles in science and literature by spending some close up time with these new friends. 5th grade students planned, built, and raced mousetrap cars through their science and math classes. The cars are made with found items – cardboard boxes, rubber bands, discarded CD’s. They use their engineering skills to develop cars that will travel the farthest and straightest. They put their math skills to the test when measuring distances in the race. The students don’t realize all that they are learning because they are having so much fun! Davis Richmond: Apron Poetry
