Mr. Peter Amidon ’90 Bengal Games today This year’s event took place on Friday, March 31 for an afternoon of friendly competition to earn money for local charities. Our youngest pre-kindergarten students participate on Team Orange and serve as ‘spirit spies’ who award special spirit points for those most spirited on campus. Students participate in games such as trivia competitions, obstacle courses, egg drops, engineering projects, and timed puzzles to earn points. This is a time for older students to give back to the GDS community by encouraging and nurturing our younger students. This is one of the many advantages to attending a PK-12 school. Lower School Director, Gillian Goodman, stated, “There is no greater joy for our youngest Bengals than to spend time with Middle and Upper School students. Being with the ‘big kids’ makes our Lower Schoolers feel important, and the older children serve as outstanding role models for them. Watching the cross divisional groups work together to solve problems and give back to the community is priceless.” If you have had the privilege of participating in Bengal Games then you know: Everybody Plays! Everybody Wins! The Red Team earned $965 for Triad Health Project. The Red Team is supported by Lake Jeanette Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry.
